FSTA Submission Guidelines: Tables

Tables can play a vital role in a research publication; however, very long and complex tables can become counterproductive. Authors are advised to pay particular attention to the following aspects:

  1. Font Size: Please note that tables will be generally reduced in size for creating the final version. Please prepare your tables with font sizes large enough to be readable after reduction.
  2. Units: All entries should be clear in CGS or appropriate units; tables without appropriate units shall not be accepted and will be ground for editorial rejection.
  3. Legends: Each Table must be accompanied by a legend (with word count as per category) that is self-explanatory and self-contained.
  4. Size: Figures with very large size may be sent back for reduction in size
  5. Number: A Table should substantially value-add to the manuscript. The number of tables in a manuscript is restricted as per Category of Submission.

Additional tables that may be relevant can be included in Supplementary Information.
